Hello all,

I would really appreciate some help with my new Sandy-Rig, I have finally taken the plunge and decided to welcome a new rig into this New Year.

Spec of choice:

Corsair 800D
Asus P67 Pro
Intel 2600k
8GB Corsair Vengeance
EVGA 570GTX (single for now but will add another in a month or so)
Creative X-Fi Extreme Music
60GB OCZ Vertex 2 (might be adding a second for RAID)
300GB Velocity Raptor
2x 1.5TB WD Greens
BeQuiet 1200Watt PSU
2x LG Optical Drives

Cooling parts currently owned:

Thermochil PA120.3 RAD
Swiftech MCP655
D-Tek Fuzion (775)
Danger Den Fill port Res
Masses of Fans, Ones to mention, 3X 120mm Panaflow that have been on my RAD, 4 new Thermaltake 1300RPM Silent things and a pile of other branded 120mm.

Ok, my idea is this, I was torn between dual loop, CPU loop1 and GPU1,2 on loop 2, but now I think I will go down the route of a single loop but dual RAD, my PA120.3 mounted on the existing roof space, and a dual RAD in the bottom, will remove the HDD Cage and mod the case, ideally I don’t want loads of clutter in view so I would like as little going on as possible. I was hoping for Pump > CPU > RAD > GPU1 > GPU2 (to be) > RAD > Pump... Having the second RAD in the base now seems a little silly as ill be going from my CPU Past the GPU to RAD 2 and then back again, any ideas here? I could get a single RAD and mount it on the Exhaust fan space?
What do I do about drainage and a res? Are these drive bay res’s any good? Should I stick with a T-Line?

Help me out chaps, Please ;)

Also, I am in serious need of a colour scheme, I don’t want to be using DYE again, so I’ll be going for solid colour tubing (3/8” ID tubing and 1/2” barbs) and will be braiding all of my cables too.
Being a nicely finished black case, I was thinking Orange and White, Orange like the Focus ST Orange (a bit sad but I love my car :o )and then I was thinking about keeping things simple, having all my cables, tubes and fan fins white? OR....? Throw some ideas please.

Many Many thanks.
PS, I’ll be keeping a build log for any work I do.

Yay another fan of orange :) it's my favourite colour and I'm thinking of doing that with watercooling too (Orange tubing)

Yep, a Fan of Orange! i have to be, driving around in a Tangerine has that effect >)

I could really do with some more input on this project guys, any help would be welcomed.

Looking forward to seeing your build log. Recently i have always cable sleeved my cables black. Just think it looks better in big black cases. Especially the 24 pin connector so personally wouldn't sleeve them white/orange.

I think i would pick transparent tubes, orange dye, semi transparent orange fans and some dim leds. I'm guessing you had problems with dye in the past though?

Res > Pump > RAD > CPU > GPU1 > GPU2 (to be) > RAD > Pump > Res.......
That is what I would personally go with :)
can't wait to see the build log :)

damn, the bloody PA120.3 wont fit in the top of my 800D,
new rad it is.

Why not?

Im sure others have used fat RADs in the top of the 800.

As for Dye don't use it, get some orange good quality tubing (the fatter the better in my opinion looks best)

Bet its the old Rad design with the diffrent screw spacing.

Maybe his PA120.3 is the old 25mm spacing? The 800D only takes 15mm spacing in the roof.

As to the OP's routing question, I'm also putting together a dual loop config in the 800D with a PA120.2 in the bottom section but want to keep tubing to a minimum.

My idea is to go res>pump>PA120.2 (bottom rad)>GPU>CPU>PA120.3 (roof rad)>res.

I doubt it would make that much difference to CPU temps if the GPU is cooled first and it should keep things nice and tidy in terms of tubing.

+1 for Orange.
