Help me decide

Right im thinking of buying a digital camera and ive narrowed it down to these two:

Canon 350D SLR Digital

Nikon D70 SLR Digital

Has anyone had any problems with these two and what should i be looking out for.

Performance wise both will be very similar, best advice you will recieve is to go to a shop and try them both.

Some people don't get on with the handling of one brand compared to another, and the feel of the camera can often be a big deciding factor.

Next best bit of advice is to look at the lens ranges (1st and 3rd party) and see which brand has stuff that you are likely to want and are able to afford.

Image quality on both will be very good, the 350D is slightly better due to the high ISO performance and the small increase in resolution.

The best advice is go and try them in a shop, the 350D looks best on paper but I recently tried one and it was tiny. This may not be a problem for you but dumping £500 on a camera without trying it is silly.

Buy whichever you find nicest to hold and use.

Maybe you could look at what lenses are available for both... which lenses you might want in the future etc. That might help with the decision.
