When I built my computer last year I was caught a little short when it came to a monitor, so instead of just getting a cheap LCD I bought a decent 22 inch NEC multisync flatscreen CRT off ebay for £30. A year later I want to delve into the LCD market and I really don't know what to go for.
I'm going to keep gaming on the CRT but would like a nice widescreen LCD to have TV/movies/other distractions running on as the second monitor.
I'm kind of torn between:
Hanns.G HG281D 28" Widescreen LCD Monitor:
1920x1200 Resolution, 800:1 Contrast Ratio, 3ms Response Time, 500 cd/m2 Brightness, 1x Analogue Input, 1x HDMI, 3yr On-Site Warranty.
and
Samsung SM2494HM 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor:
1920x1080 Resolution, 50000:1 Contrast Ratio, 300cd/m² Brightness, 5ms Response Time, 1x Analogue Input, 1x DVI-D Input, 1x HDMI Input, 3 Year On-Site Warranty.
I know samsung make better panels but I am wondering will the Hanns.G be good enough for what I want to do with it?
