Guys ,

Just brought a new rig , and now need to get the final piece..A new Graphics card , below is what i am runnning

1 X Intel Core i5 750 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz Socket LGA1156
1 X Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
1 X Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
1 X Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler
Coolermaster Storm Scout
Corsair TX 850w PSU

I have put my old Radeon X1950 Pro 512mb Card in there , so i am looking for a card that will significantly better my 1950 , Its to be displayed on my 37" LCD TV wiht max res of 1920x1080 , I would ideally like the card to play most top end games at full spec smoothly , I have a budget of around £250 , but can extend it to £350 if there is a bigger performance for my needs . I only want ATI cards.

Any Suggestions?

silly question really.

5850 if you want change in your pocket, 5870 if you want to throw money around.

With an i5 750 i would be more inclined to go down the route of a 5850 and overclock it rather than a 5870

I have been mulling over the 5850 or the 4870x2 , i am more swaying towards the 5850! and spending the extra on either extra cooling or faster HDD

Thanks for the quick response

Would also go for the 5850. Overclocks to 5870 levels and doesn't have to rely on crossfire support for games like the 4870x2.

5850 everytime. Great overclocker and produces less heat which is a real bonus. Also, could always go down the crossfire route which are just behind the 5870 cf.
