Help me decipher this RJ45 socket wiring

Moving some cabling around, and forgot how confusing these socket wiring diagrams are (probably dead simple really, but I'm not sure if I've got it right)

How would you wire up this socket, based on T568B (numbers added by me - I can't see any numbering against the actual connectors):

I've currently got:

1 - orange
2 - white/orange
3 - green
4 - white/green
5 - brown
6 - brown/white
7 - blue
8 - white blue

However I'm fairly sure this is wrong; the numbering on the colours is confusing me - as they don't correspond with the pin positions.

It's currently working fine at GB speeds, but only because I have the same socket wired up the same on each end. I have a new 2 port faceplate I need to wire between these 2, and it has a completely different wiring diagram, so I need to make sure I actually get them connected properly!

Thanks.

Edit:

Here is one of my current sockets:

Thanks - yes, it's the numbering which confuses things (how do I know which pin is #1 and which direction it goes?), hence I just went with the actual colour positions

Thanks, that makes sense then :)

The worrying thing is, 10 years ago this was part of my job

I swear they were much clearer before...
