Help Me Find a Graphics Card, Please.

Hey Guys, I need help. I cant seem to figure out if graphics cards will work with my computer, I know i need a PCI-Express x16 but is there a difference between these cards?

Here are my specs at the minute:

CPU
Intel Core i5 @ 3.00GHz
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology

RAM
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. H61M-S2PV (Intel Core i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz)

Graphics
1023MB GeForce GT 520 (Undefined)

I need a card at around £180. I really would like to get one soon because im sick of standing on the side lines when my friends are playing games and i cant.

I think your motherboard has one PCI-E x 16 lane, so something like this will suit your budget :

Perhaps overclocking your cpu wouldn't be a bad idea. It'll help to get more performance out of your new card.

Personally i'd go with the 7850 as it is made by HIS (UK RMA) and the 660 is Asus (Nightmare RMA), also the 7850's can overclock quite well with minimum fuss.

Depends really whether you want to go Nvidia or AMD graphics as they'll pretty much perform the same and the price.

Yeah i was considering the 7850 is the first reply? is there a reason not to go for that? i have plenty of room in the case?

Hi, get this card : Sapphire 7870xt, sell the games and you wont be far off your budget. Much better card, very near 7950 performance.
