Help me find a journal and pen

Hi there,

I am looking at buying the other half a nice leather bound journal and maybe a decent fountain pen for valentines day.

I have found a few journals, something like :

But £65 is rather on the pricey side.

Anyone any suggestions on places to get journals from?

Also, any suggestions on fountain pens + ink/cartridges?

On topic, I doubt you'll get a decent pen or journal for less than £65. Smiths maybe?

Waterman for about £30 and a moleskin notebook seems to fit the bill perfectly. In fact, with the moleskins only costing about £15 tops you can get a better waterman. I have had a moleskin diary for each of the last two years and love them.

I have the hemisphere, which is on budget from Smiths at £45 for the stainless steel and gold version.

As for seek and greenlizard0, when you have been together as long as we have and you have xmas, valentines day, our 11 year anniversary and her birthday all with about 50 days it can work out a very expensive few months. So we always agree that valentines should not be made a big deal of and just to get some little presents.

She will love this present even though it isnt an expensive watch, etc etc, she has all that and finds the thoughtful, personal touch much more meaning full than the usual stuff men buy women.
