I played it in the 90s, it was a top down, rail airship shooter. Each map earned you money (and I think dying cost you money). You had several upgrade paths to choose from (laser/missile/torpedo etc.) and there were a tone of missions to do. I think it was called something in the line of Raptor or F-16.

If someone manages to identify it, I'm hoping to find it or something similar on Android.

Thank you

EDIT: It was Raptor Call Of The Shadows, thank you!

Now if you kind lads found another vertical scroller, that would be great. This one I only played on those big arcade game machines we had in the 80s and early 90s. It had no upgrades that you could buy and each area would start as soon as a boss was defeated. Your weapons had two types of upgrades, or three, which you picked up from killed foes. The upgrade loot changed its colour and shape depending on the potential upgrade consisting of a laser ish veritical attack or cone shape multiple missiles attack. You also had bombs that wiped out the screen, except bosses.

I hate these games by the way, always been pap at them. Honorable exceptions for Ikari Warriors and 1942, both of which I loved, despite still being pap at them.

And I always died when I got the tank!

I recall Raptor but it's Flying Tigers I remember the most fondly.

I've just downloaded the demo version of Xelorians. Will give it a go as my next "having a dump" game :p

There was a pc remake of Xenon 2's early levels, given by Bitmap Brothers to a pc mag years ago. Great Amiga memories!
