Hello knowledgeble audio types - I need your help.
I've got a MacBook Pro with an optical out that connects to my amp and speakers. But rather than it being the standard fitment, it's a 3.5mm hole and that means I need to pop an adapter onto my SPDIF cable in order to connect it.
However, this poses a problem. Because the adapters are made of plastic they are prone to breaking off in the hole and leaving me the fiddly task of trying to hook the damn thing out in one piece. And as luck would have it I've just broken my last one...
Is it possible to source adapters that are slightly more robust than the pathetically weak pieces of plastic that I've been using thus far? And if so, where should I be looking?
