I have not been able to play BFBC2 since well before xmas, would have bought Vietnam but it was poiuntless as I could never get online. I get this error message after playing for a few minutes.

Connection to the game server has been lost. Please check your connection and try again.

I have tried alsorts of supposed random fixes I have found on the ea forums.

Restarting my pc
Started in administrator
Opened ports in my router
Updated punkbuster
Full reinstall of BFBC2
Full reinstall of win7 64
Disabled the firewall on my router
Tried run cmd (admin mode) type -> netsh int ip reset then after type -> netsh winsock reset and a few other cmd commands that I forget.

I am looking forward to BFBC3 but I am not going to buy it if I dont fix the above problem. BBFC2 is a cracking game and would like to play the last map pack and the Vietnam.

Will try virtually anything.

i would start looking at your phone line and router. Is it a BT phone line and what isp are you with and what router?

It is a bt phone line and I am with fast.co.uk my router is a belkin play n600. My connection and router is perfectly fine for every other mp game I play, I have slow broadband (1.2mb 68 ping using speedtest) but that does not impact any other game that I play.

I had this problem for a long time, around the sametime as yourself and have managed to resolve it. It appears for me the issue was down to the RealTek audio driver, it sounds strange however after updating to the latest version which only came out this May (I hadn't updated anything else apart from graphics drivers after giving up trying to resolve it months and months ago) it resolved it after installing, since then I've never had a problem since.

A side issue to this that I also suffered was BSOD, installing the RealTek driver was to resolve this issue, however it seemed to have solved two birds with one stone.

I will look into this tonight, I use the onboard sound which is probably realtek.

It has not worked for me, was getting into the game but then lost connection.

Well I think BF2 hates me, after buying Vietnam I have spent about 5 hours of gaming and tonight I am getting kicked from servers with no error message or'lost conenction to ea' just after 5 mins or so.
