Okay the lawn mower cord broke so went and got a new one.
My sister had taken the front cover off and we are left with these parts and she cant remember how it went.
I have put the coil back in fine and it's in properly I just don't know how the plastic bit goes back on and whether the spring goes under or on top of the plastic bit + the screw just doesnt want to screw in to the hole.
Anyone here ever replaced a starter motor cord and have a similar layout to this one ? any help greatly appreciated.
Right this is the housing for the coil with coil fitted back in and it sits flush like this think it's correct
This is the plastic but that sits on top and the 2 alum key shaped things obviously sit on top of the starter and turn it when the cords pulled.
Now in the middle here I have a spring is this correct does it sit in the middle then the plastic bit goes on top of the spring and then you just screw it in ?
