Hi, time for the big upgrade at last!

Currently: E2180 2GHZ Dual Core/2GB Ram.

I have a very old Lian Li PC65 Case where the PSU sits at the top, the PSU is a Corsair HX620. I want to keep these two items if possible.

I have 2 Sata HDD's, GTX 460, keyboard and mouse, amp and speakers and a PCI port SoundBlaster X-FI.

So I need a Mobo, CPU and Ram also I want a 24" widescreen TFT. I think a new DVDRW is needed too.

Is there anything that can be improved on?

I don't intend to OC initially but a couple of years down the line when it is required I will and I could possibly add another 460 in there if required and a SSD when they're cheaper. Is the mobo good enuff to do SLI and will it support my existing equipment?

And the monitor how is it compared to the Asus and Iiyama?

At the moment PC is used mainly for browsing and games such as ME3/BF3, etc.

It's fine with most games but struggles with BC2/BF3 and some newer games.

That looks great :)

It'll all work/fit and that motherboard supports SLI [at 8x/8x] should you add another 460.

For the price you can't go wrong with the Samsung. Can't seem to find a review though.

You should see an improvement where your CPU/RAM has been holding you back, will be a good upgrade!

Time to get the credit card out :D

:D hehe enjoy!

There's definitely some overclocking headroom to be had without pushing the clock speed too high, certainly you should be able to bump up the multiplier a fair few notches before requiring any voltage increase. Have a play around with it, but you shouldnt have to push it too hard to get a decent performance boost out of your new processor :)

It Arrived!

This morning at 9AM, very fast delivery. And sweeties :p

Everythings all setup now including a new installation of windows.

A couple of questions what the default speeds on these and they throttleback when the full load is needed?

Asking because on cpu z my speeds are ranging from 1600 to 3800 mhz.

Enhanced Intel SpeedStep is what does that. When your system is idle or not under a heavy work load it automatically adjusts the CPU speed & voltage, so your system won't use as much power and keep temperatures down.
