Help me ID an old school computer game

Hi All,

I have this vague recollection of a game I used to love around the 1993-1995 time range. It was 3D with a top down-ish view. I think you controlled a group of cops (or something like that perhaps cyber cops) I seem to remember you could get into cop cars and move around a city and you could kill innocent people (lol) if you wanted too. I can't even remember what the goal was, I think you can do stop gangs of criminals perhaps.

Anyone any clue as to what game this is? Really liked it thinking of hitting the Bay to find a copy but I just can't remember the name of it.

Are you sure it wasn't one of the early Grand Theft Auto series?

Yes, not cops, but sounds about right - murdering innocent folk etc.
 
Syndicate would be my guess too.

i remember the booklet's cover spooked me as a kid, and i coloured in the eyeballs :o
 
Persuadertron FT proverbial W!

Between that game, SWOS, Cannon Fodder and Walker it's surprising I even got any studying done.
 
I didn't find it slow, even on PSone, but maybe that's how fast my strategy game mind works :)

Hope the new one comes good, I've been having horrible dreams about a SIMS like game with weapons.
