Help Me Identify The Film: Might Be A Bit Tough.

I have a hazy recollection of a balck and white film made in the late forties or early fifties I guess. A group of people either from a plane crash or shipwreck end up on an island. After looking around for a while they see ships moored up and a bunker with cameras in it. Then they work out on the neighbouring island (a few miles away) is a tower and they guess it contains an atom bomb and the island is going to be an above ground test. Obviously they have to try and get off the island or stop the bomb.

Does anyone remember the name of the film?

Are you sure you're not watching Lost on an old black and white telly?

I know the film you're on about, I think, but can't remember what it's called. I'm gonna have to keep searching now because it's doing my head in.

was it a full length film? I only ask as it sounds a little like something from the original Twilight Zone series

I did wonder if it could be a twilight zone episode. I'll have a look see what i can find. Like I say it is hazy recollection.
