Its a DVR card, we have no box, no drivers, no prior knowledge of it but we need to know what card it is so we can get some drivers for it, so if any of you can help it'd be greatly appreciated cause i have to install it at work this week and get the cameras working in the IT rooms >_<

Would be nice if you kept the camera still while taking the picture :p
lol cheeky .... :p i was in a hurry, finished work at 4pm and the librarian wanted her camera back

Check for an FCC code and type it in here for manafacturer:
http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/

Then see their website and see if they have more than one type of card.

And/or search on <any random aution site> for DVD cards by that manafacturer and see if the piccies match.

If there are any large IC's visible, take the numbers off them and search for them in Google. It may be that only a few cards used those particilar IC's.
(Great for finding modem drivers BTW!)

Any codes found round the packaging (brown bit) - Type them into google.

ive typed everything writen on the card into google, theres nothing on the back, no stickers, numbers etc (one set of numbers but i put that in google but no luck) just trying to see if anyone could identify it from looks alone (trying to get lucky and see if anyone else has used the same one)

Youl be quite lucky to find drivers unless you can track down the manufacturer as these cards are normally quite unique.

Pictures of any part codes/serial numbers would help

from the choice of heatsink and the shielded BNC connectors it looks like one of the AVerMedia designs.

I haven't found the model yet, still looking

it's pretty close in design style to this one
Avermedia NV 5000
webNV5000-Videoboard.jpg

note the choice of connectors, labelling, capacitors, socketry.
Not on this model, but their other models use the same heatsinks

I'd email the pic to AVerMedia and ask them to confirm, it is either one of theirs or they know who re-badged it.
(and ask them to fix their slow-n-crappy web site while you are there - the product pics are awful)

btw, while you're in the IT room adding CCTV, fix your webserver, it's down :p
