Hmmm this was a game i had on pre-order but then cancelled it as i wasnt too sure..mainly due to the fact that it reminded me of Saints Row, which was good but soon lost its appeal on me. Unless im wrong and its nothing like Saints Row then i might take a chance on it...but at the moment there isnt any available pre-orders around so probably have to wait till some get in stock.

Saints row was basically a copy of GTA, so if you didnt like that, you wont like GTA.

In the same boat as you buddy (more like a dinghy!). Will see what it like on mates 360 next week before taking the plunge on my PS3.

BTW found driving the cars v.easy in prev GTA games.

i've seen some people try to drive in GTA and they swerve left and right constantly as they over compensate, however they're fine in PGR3!!! I dunno ???

Yep, that's one of the issues. The game only allows large movements compared to every other car-based game I've played.

It's stupid trying to drive between 2 lanes of traffic and having to wiggle the stick all the time hugely overcompensating because the controls lack refinement. It's definitely not the pad or just me either.

Is this the same on PC? I've always played them on pc with keyboard and had none of these problems :confused:

Hmmm thanks for confirming that, i guess thats one of the reasons why i wont be getting it...well not at the price its at...not really worth it for me. I might pick it up when it gets cheap.

I like Driving because I play Forza 2 and PGR4.

you won't like GTAIV then, certainly no Forza or PGR4 and from what i have seen and heard depending on the car ( of course ) handling is worse than previous games

saints row was a poor attempt though imo

lacked a decent storyline and the quirks that gta has. hopefully the new ones story is as good as the last ones

i always found driving in GTA games stupidly easy on both ps2 and pc using gamepad :/ maybe this is why i kept getting called a cheat when i first started playing san andreas online

if you don't like GTA IV there's something missing inside of you, is all i can say.

for the rest of us enjoy, it's ******* brilliant

It didn't have the same quality feel to it - but the ragdoll effects and little tweaks they made to the game (flying through your windscreen when crashing for example) are things that will push Rockstar to include them in GTA. And make it an even better game.

Saints Row is a fun game but definitely not a GTA replacement.

I'll say the same as what has been said. Saint Rows pales in comparison to GTA, it's like a cheap wannabe GTA.

And should definitely not be used as a basis for whether or not to purchase GTA4

I have just watched the video review and It does look good.
In the multiplayer cane you play as a cop getting the bad guys and vice versa ?
