Help me my computers wont boot

I've got WInXP and I tried reinstalling windows repair and it got stuck didn't work.

It thought I'd muck about with Ubuntu LIve cd however I can't access the hard disks with this help :confused:

What's the problem exactly? What does the message say?

Try boot with the windows CD and type: chkdsk.

Windows insists on installing windows and just gets stuck I left it for 3 hours and it said the whole time 33mins to go :confused:
