Help me name that game: Old Playstation top down shooter?

Been trying to remember the name of an old Playstation (1) game...

It was a top down shooter with insect like robots... You used the square, circle, triangle and cross buttons to fire your guns in any direction. It was 2d in that the view was top down only but the stages were built in 3d giving an impression of height. Thats all I remember!

Help me out please, it is driving me mad. Anyone who remenbers this game, is there a PC version?

Project Overkill and Loaded were both great games, especially Loaded for 2 player fun
