Hi everyone,

I am looking at getting a PC from OCUK, hopefully on black friday.

The PC will be used for gaming and some basic editin( family holidays etc), I'm a console gamer making my first step towards PC gaming so I don't need anything crazy!

Can someone please cast their eye over the following systems, I intend to upgrade the ram to 16gb and get a SSD. But im really looking for some expertise on which system is better bang for buck for someone like me , any advice on the graphics cards would be welcome aswell. Im a PS4 gamer mainly and have interest in some RTS. FPS and adventure games- would likely play the system online. Budget is max 800 but would like to spend less

Just the tower mate, I have monitors and mouse etc already

If you can build it yourself youll get a bit more bang for buck... I've put together a rough guide but you may want some bits changed and I'm sure some other members will have their own basket list....

All you'll need to add is a case but that personal choice so would rather leave that to you

Do you know if your monitor is G-Sync? If so then go Nvidia GPU but if not then the RX590 is around £200

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £708.04 (includes shipping: £11.10)

My monitor is not g-sync , actually im going to be honest its just a basic entry level 24 inch Dell monitor.
I originally had plans for just having an office PC but i'm getting the itch now to get into PC gaming, is a lack of free sync or g sync a deal breaker for games? Is this going to be noticeable to me when playing?

Many thanks

I've got just a basic monitor and gaming is still brilliant... Its not a massive deal breaker to have Gsync or Freesync, have a little read up on them... I've been building Pc's and PC gaming now for around 8 years and never gone back to console... :p
