I cleaned my pc and reseat my HSF and its took me 14c down so i decided to try and increase my overclock.

Last time i tried i could only get my cpu stable around 3.4/3.5 and anything above would fail, the voltage ranged from 1.34-38 - 1.44 and i still couldnt get intel burn test stable.

E7200 1.46 voltage (This screenshot only usually 1.36)
Black dragon geil 800mhz 2gb 2.1 voltage
hd 4850
msi p45 mobo 1.7 bios
CPU Volt 1.46
GTL REF1/0 auto
MCH 1.124
VTT FSB 1.22
ICH 1.5
Ram at 1:1 ratio

CPU 3.6GHZ i want to get stable
My max temperature is 64c with case off heating on and intel burn test
My problem is max voltage, i remember reading it was 1.4x can someone help?
My other problem is temperature, my temps seem fine as i recall 74c correct?

what about raising the vcore though? i remember 1.4x being max but is that only dependnat on temperature or will anything above that kill the chip no matter what temp?

no one knows for sure about a safe max voltage. to be honest, there have been accounts of people finding that the recommended 1.4v max for 45nm being a bit of an oversafety precaution. as long as the temps allow it, i would go past 1.4 easily.

ok, well i ran my chip at an average of 1.42 of its lifespan - thing is i have a intel i7 920 for free coming to me soon so its kind of an excuse to kill this chip :P
