Right, I'm a relative noob at OCing. Heres the specs on my PC:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (Thouroughbred) running at 2.09GHz, with an FSB of 167.
1GB PC3200 OCZ value RAM rated at 2.5-4-4-8
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Mobo
And the thing I think may be a major problem, the Colourbit (?!) 550W PSU
MBM gives me idle temps of about 30 to 35 C, for CPU diode and CPU socket, and a case temp of between 20 and 25C. CPU socket and diode temps raise to about 40 to 45C at load.
Any help with OCing in order to prevent the RAM running at higher than 200 MHz while maintaining the CPU at a higher clock speed would be more than welcome. Any ideas?
