Hi Chaps!

OK here goes......

I passed my driving test on the 14-2-06 :D , I have a chance of getting a Rover 25 1.1e 3 door, on finance, Its on a 51 plate and from my local garage, I have checked the insurance (direct line) and they have quoted me 583 quid fully comp.....

The question......I know rover has gone bust or whatever, but has anybody got any experience with the 25 model??, will it be an ideal first car?

your help is appreciated.

So you are letting your local Arther Daley type used car sales geezer set your budget?

Please don't tell me you've gone in and said 'I can afford £150 a month what have you got' - thats the easiest way ever to get ripped off.

Ok, I clearly need a bit of help here people

I am a first time buyer, I have absolutely NO idea about cars and the Arther Daleys in this world....

I possibly could raise a 1000, in a few weeks......I know its not much but im on a really tight budget......

thanks for your help....

but, I have already paid 200 in deposit!!!, I knew I should have come here first!!!!!!!!!

By law do I have a cooling of period?, or am I screwed?

I suppose its a hard lesson to learn, but...........

I have the rover 200 series, I have the 1.4 si model, and feel any slower and it would be underpowered. Mines a 98 reg with 40k on it, really love it, I got it from the garage for £1400 and it was with most extras.

Its my first car, and i find it easy to park and enjoyable. The head gasket went which wasnt nice, but hopefully its all sorted now, i prefer it over nearly ever other hatchback and am happy with it.

I really would recomend you go for a 1.4 model though.

thank you for your reply, its really appreciated.

I took out a 1 years warranty with it, and also gap/payment protection...

Im just really nervous about the whole situation, I just want a car that will go from a to b....and cheap on insurance........and get me and my family a bit of freedom.
