Well I've setup Afterburner to provide +12 mV voltage (max) 111% power (max) and 95°C temp limit (max).

The best core overclock I can seem to get is around +55 Mhz on the core and +100 Mhz on the memory.

This gives me a core speed of 1140 Mhz, boost of 1192Mhz and K Boost of 1254Mhz.

During Heaven I only see a max of 62°C and a max of 77% power.

ASIC quality is 84.2%.

Seeing as during Heaven I am no where near reaching the power or temp limit, what is stopping increasing the core clock? Simply a not very good one?

Sounds like you're out of volts! The ability to push volts higher entirely depends which 770 you have...

~1250 Doesn't sound to bad to me if im honest, even if you could get another 100 on the core you'd only see a few FPS different in game if that

Afaik thats about your lot with 770's. Only a select few models of 770 had the ability to over volt and iirc the MSI Gaming edition wasn't one of them.

As said above though, 1250mhz is still a healthy clock, even with volts you'd maybe only manage another 100mhz before you needed to start looking at a custom bios due to the power limit.

Enjoy the card at its current OC :)

i have msi gamer 770 oc 4 gig version thats about right boost clock 1267 for me if i go higher its not stable (need more volts, but they are locked) , memory clocks very well i can go up to around 8070 mhz but i left it on 8000.
