Got my birthday money today 300 and want a gta 970 considering the gigabyte model but I had my heart set on the Asus model what would be my best choice saving money but best model :)
 
Well, the best compromise between gigabyte and Asus would be the MSI gaming 970. It has the function to shut off the fans off up to a certain temperature and is pretty much silent.

It also overclocks pretty good as well, not as good as the gigabyte but then again, the gigabyte card doesn't have the silence of the MSI 970 gaming card and it's a lot bigger length wise.

Oh and i've also heard MSI have pretty good warranty too :)

In terms of value I think the MSI is the best bet, but if you fancy the ASUS then go for it! Both are great cards and represent good value for money.
