Right the venice runs at 2000 (thats 200 HTT X10 multiplier)
the HTT frequency is at 5x (so thats 5X 200 = 1000 X 2 = 2000 is what it has to be around or a little below).

Right as you can see im not completly stupid and I've figured out a bit of it :D
As for how memory relates to my CPU I dont have a clue what to do, I cant tell what speed my memory is running at and I cant find any dividers or anything like that.
I've got a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard which I heard was good for overclocking?

Here are some bios screens, maybe you guys can tell me what I have to change and where at the memory options because I dont have the foggiest.

EDIT: What the hell is HT Width?

Do I have to drop it straight away to X4 say if I run at 240?

I just did a little test, multiplier at 8, fsb 220 memory 200, went into windows then crashed, im guessing my memory sucks and couldnt manage it?

Ok it does seem my memory is preety bad, on 240X8 atm, memory on 166 so its running at 200fsb? Even though it only says ddr333 or something at start bit.

Ok this is what im going to basically do, im going to up the volateg of my memory but keep the timings right, run it at a ratio of 1:1, and im going to test it with memtest and not windows as I dont wanna ruin my windows setup, if it crashes again I will loosen the timings slowly until it works, if it goes any further I will try that, once I find my max memory (lets assume its 230) I wil use a divider and up my fsb slowly to find my max cpu fsb and keep my memory running max, once my cpu sarts to stuggle I shall increase the voltage to 1.6 max, while doing all this I will keep the HT frequency below 1000, is that all right?

Well I cant seem to overclock the ram one bit! So I guess i'll just keep it below 200 with tight timmings of 2/3/3/6
I have two different modulfes as I could no longer find the same ram as the one I used.
I have Geil Ultra 512mb Cas2 and Corsair 512mb XMS3200C2PT.

So i'm just going to keep the multiplier at 10X now as my ram wont be going over 200 with a divider, and I will keep upping the fsb slightly, ATM I've got the divider on 166, FSB at 240 and divider at 10.
So its at 2400mhz.

I think my cpu is rather good, the last owner had it at 2.6ghz with stock cooler and volts I believe, I;ve got a arctic cooler 64 pro on it and jsut testing at 240X10 and it seems to be fine.
My memory is very limiting however cant overclock it at all, but looking at the screenshot it should be running at 2/3/3/6 - these are just figure to me and I dont have a clue which value should be at 2/3/3/6, could you tell me which value applies to what so I can get the best possible memory timings please?
And memory module should 1t or 2t?

I've put them in the same modules (green ones first like motherboard says) but on startup it says its running in single channel.

When you change settings in the bios a higher overclock, then the screen doesnt turn on after saving - what is this likely to be down to?

Hi trojan having a bit of trouble getting onto MSN, but I thought i'd post here as my computer acting like a bitch.

For some reason I couldnt get to 250X10 and it was peeing me off, so I tried loads of things, extra chipset volts extra cpu volts extra ram volts - nothing worked.
As you know I'm running both geil and corsair ram under dual channel, anyways I decided to take the corsair out and run the geil alone, everything at stock volts and fast timings - I reached 250X10 with ease.
Now I cant seem to get both fo these ram to work together at this speed, even with a bloody divider - why is this? Surely the divider will make all the difference...

I've only got two sticks of 512 on, now only one stick of 512 just to find out my potential overclock if I had decent ram, have it only 2.6ghz atm - will leave it like this today just to check stability, seems fine to me though.
But I really need 1 gig of ram rather than 512mb so I'll have to run it at 2.4ghz until i upgrade ram - but the cpu is fast enough really at 2.4ghz, but I know theres the performance boost there possible if I get decent ram.
