I am awaiting delivery of a Opteron 146 which someone has had it up to 2.88 so i would like the same in my system..

I have all the parts in my sig - No X1800XT and will have the new Opteron.

right. i get confused with memory timings. i know lower is better but the 3.8.4.4 what does that relate to with my board in the settings?

elsewhere on the forum someone said that my memory would do 2.5-3-3-7 could someone explain please?

Also what fan would be best for use with an XP-120?

Yea I have your memory, load up CPUZ & it'll show you rated speeds & timings. With some extra volts it'll do timings that it would only naturally do if it were set at 333. I have mine set to 2.9v running at 217DDR (434 effective) with 2.5 3 3 7 timings. I'm going to try 1T mode again soon too cos I havent fully tested 2.9v & I want 1T working because 2T is a ig performance hit apparently...

Also, 2.9v is still covered by there warrenty & listed in there specs as a voltage you're allowed to run it at so it's perfectly safe
