Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB

Can you help me overclock the above setup please, what settings do i change in the BIOS?

I used to do Overclocking about 3-4 years ago but i have forgotten most of it.

Thank you :)

All you need to touch is the cpu multiplier and vcore (main cpu voltage). I'd fix your DRAM clocks and volts at stock unless you really care about benchmark scores, because it won't have a major effect in real world usage. Leave your BCLK alone at 100MHz. We don't do FSB overclocking now because it's all linked up with the IGPU.

start with a 4GHz overclock at 1.34V and start notching up the multiplier one bit at a time until prime95 throws errors or you BSOD. At that point add more voltage. Try to avoid going over 1.35V if you can, but 1.37V is generally the safe max. Keep an eye on temps and keep them below 80C under load.

Might be worth disabling spread spectrum as well, and if you're vcore is showing quite a large drop in CPU-Z (download this to monitor voltage and make sure your clocks have stuck) then enable the Load line calibration setting (vdroop) to combat this.

What CPU cooler are you using ?, if you've just got the stock one on there don't try and overclock at all.

Ive got the same CPU and motherboard and get 4.5 ghz using a Phanteks cooler.

I left my Voltage at auto and get really good results (1.24v under load) but if your getting much more then select your vcore your self.
