Help me overclock. Q6600

Ok here is what I have
Abit IP35 - Non pro
Intel Q6600 2.6
Corsiar XMS2 DDR2 6400 1gig x4

Ok I would like to be running 3ish 3ghz which I can achieve but the memory has to run at 800mhz which I believe is slower than it usually would. Any advice.

ps I am v new to this.

The cpu runs at around 55 degrees btw. Its only air cooling and the case is small so its quite warm.

55'c, is that idle or under load?

800Mhz is the rated speed for that memory so that's ok

If it's 55 idle then you'll need some beefier cooling.

I have two big 120mm fans pointed at the dam thing. Problem is Im using the intel stock cooler and its a one of those BTX cases so its really small for the amount in there. I guess its running as good as it can overclocked then. 833mhz the memory is at and the cpu is at 3ghz.
