HELP ME, pc upgrage is wrong

Hi, i've just installed a new mobo (gigabyte 965p-DS3) and a new processor (intel core 2 duo E6600) and a tried turning it on for thefirst time and as i pushed the button i noticed that the cu fan was not spinning, so i cut the power.

I tried it again did not spin so i turned it off straight away. Could you good people please elp me, what is to be done?

Your BIOS might be waiting for your CPU to heat up before getting your CPU fan spinning. Did you turn it off instantly, or let it go on for a couple of seconds to see if that was the case? If all power is plugged in, then just wait to see if it does start spinning, in which case you can just change your BIOS settings

Edit: If you do think it is getting too far without turning on, post back.

erm, no i just pulled the plug straight away. I shall try that and see. I never thought of that. Thanks

Yeah that happened on a mates build i done, the cpu fan only starts spinning after its been on for a couple of mins are so then it goes off againand repeats.
