Help me people : anyone know the ambient track I'm talking about?

Apologies in advance for not making sense, but there's a chance someone knows what I'm blithering on about!

I have heard some ambient track on a number of occasions. From what I remember it tends to be put onto documentaries that are science based?

It's pretty dark sounding, claustrophobic. But the main theme to it is it's frenetic shift in tone throughout (makes it sound a little bit acidy). It's really synthetic sounding.

It just weaves in and out. Sounds like an alien computer trying to talk to me. I have no idea what on earth it is and I can't figure it out.

No beat to it as I'm aware.

Any ambient/trance gurus got an idea what it could be?

It's evil, trancey proper ambient.
