I'm looking to get a camera, my main use will be for taking images of tabletop models (40k etc) and also doing some vlogs, does anyone have any recommendations, I really have no idea where to start, my budget is around £650.

Much appreciated, chaps.

Thanks for the reply all.

My models are 32mm + (Warhammer 40k models), I want to get close to show off the detail but really the camera is going to be used to film tabletop games I plan to do, so that is why I want a really good camera that can take images and film. I've looked at the M50 and I keep seeing people mentioning the bad video quality, has anyone got one of these to confirm? One of the things I like in a camera which the M50 has is the screen can be flicked out and turned around which would be great when I do self-videos.

It is not bad video quality but rather the crop (essentially zooms in by 2.56x, making an 18mm lens a 46mm) when filming in 4K which means you'll need a wider lens or will need to place the camera farther away from the subject you wish to film. It also doesn't use dual pixel for focusing when in 4K and there is no stabilisation at all on the camera but as long as you are using a tripod which I suspect you will be, there is no concern. In 1080p video recording is fine as there is no crop and dual pixel is available.

I don't own an M50 just read a lot about it :)

Thanks, mate, I think I'm going to go for it. Just wondering is anything on the verge of dropping soon which is a similar product? Not really in the know with the camera stuff :)
