Help me pick an AGP card please

Guys not loadsa money but want to speed things up abit.

Pcs are 4800x2 running a 6800gt

Sons pc is xp2100 with a ati 9700pro in both are agp both play wow ok, sons chugs abit in areas but ok.

My sons is running a enermax 365 watt psu
mine is 400w.

Id like 2 new cards for our PCs and wondered what i should get and which is best ATI or Nvidia.

The Nvidia list isnt great only 3, but ati is bigger, is there a huge diff in the 3850s over what i have, and on another note have i got enough power to supply this ?


Take into mond the 6800gt has a molex to it, and the 9700pro also and they run fine, but im unsure if the newer cards will draw even more.

id try and get an AGP x1950pro, one of the best DX9 cards.

just to add to my post, the newer cards need a lot of bandwidth, something AGP cannot provide. So the performance difference will be very small if any, the x1950 can be picked up for peanuts and will serve you well.

A 1950pro will match your setup well , you are going to be very CPU limited on the XP2100 system however.

If I were you i'd put the 6800GT in the XP2100 machine, and grab an 1950pro for yours.
