Hey there,

I'm nearly done deciding on what components to get for my new pc build, however can't choose between these GPU's:

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 5770 1GB
ASUS Radeon HD 5770 1GB
MSI HD 4870 1GB (COPPER)

I know that 5770s are DX11 compliant and feature very similarly to 4870 in bechmark tests, but 5770s have a 128-bit memory interface, while 4870 is 256-bit. I also have to option to buy a MSI 4870 that is not copper, would that be a better option?

Anyway, in short:
Could you guys help me choose the most optimal card in terms of cooling/noise/quality/performance out of Gigabyte/Asus 5770s and MSI 4870s copper/noncopper? It would also be really cool if someone could explain what's the difference between 128-bit and 256-bit memory interfaces . Also, is that copper version of MSI 4870 any better than the non copper one (on the right in this pic)?

Thanks a lot and waiting for your replies. :D

I'd also go with ASUS.... MSI card's I've personally had issues with in the past. Note, I could just have had a bit of bad luck and they were only the cheaper cards for media machines and whatever... but still.

+1 for 5770 and +1 for Asus, my Asus 4890 has been faithful and an overall fantastic card, I plan to use Asus again and would recommend you to do the same thing.

As for memory interface I am not 100% sure what it equates to in terms of performance, though it shouldn't be too much as in benchies both the 5770 and 4870 produce very similar framerates.

Hope you enjoy your new card whichever you get!
