Help Me Pick Software

I'm looking to buy a something to play DVD's with, PowerDVD for example. If anyone knows any good ones that'd be great.

Also which defrag program should I be getting? Diskeeper or O&O or just stick with the default windows one?

Need advice on spyware software also. Adaware, Spybot S&D, XP-Antispy, Spyware blaster...?

Should I also get TuneUp Utilities 2007?

Thinking also of making my own XP using nLite, does anyone have some sort of minimal setup profile for it as I'm not too sure of what to remove and It takes ages

DVD Player

PowerDVD is pretty good. Could try VLCMedia Player, I think that plays DVD's.

Not sure about TuneUp Utilities 2007 or nLite.

The Players.I Would Used PowerDVD And VLC I Find That What One Will Not Play The Other Will Play,

nLite - bledd might be a good person to hassle.

However I would say that it all depends on what you do with XP and what you want removed or kept. That being said there is probably a fair bit that can be removed from XP that doesn't really get used at all.

Media players - VLC or Media Player Classic paired with ffdshow.
Spyware - I hate the new Ad-aware. Why do we need services running this? I'd use the older version if they still update it. Otherwise I use Spybot Search and Destroy and SpywareBlaster.

I used to remove loads of stuff from XP, but stuff I removed might be stuff you may use.
