Only 8 weeks to go now! Christ, that's an age.
Anyway, the car isn't that far off now and I'm pretty certain that I want to change the wheels on it as soon as possible. In Sport spec, there are only 2 wheels choices, the MV2 multispokes and the 5 spoke "star" alloys. I didn't like the 5 spokes and given that they were a cost option, went for the MV2s instead.
So, here is a picture of a very similar car which I found on Pistonheads. My car will be nigh on identical except it will be in Carbon Black which is a slightly different shade but that shouldn't matter for this task.
A popular option seems to be M3 CSL wheels (see below) which can be had from the BMW dealer for a fairly steep £2350 with rubber. The bonus with the CSL wheels is that whilst they look bloody awesome, they are also very lightweight and apparently do wonders for the handling. However, I can't help but think that well over 2 grand is a bit excessive.
But..... FAP....
I'm not really sure which wheels would look good on the car. I had as bit of a thing for those BBS race style wheels with the split rim and dish but I have no idea about model numbers or colours or offsets etc....
So, can the wheel/photoshop gurus stick some wheel tat onto the picture to help me get some idea? All suggestions are welcome, even penski's with his hip and cool car modifying language.
Wheel size will be 19".
Thanks
