£20 more and you could get x6 1055t and clock it to 4ghz easy.

My current basket. I've changed to the 6core and changed mobo as I read some positive reviews about it, but again we go back to the same issue that I have no clue whatsoever.

Which mobo should I go for then, the original gigabyte one I picked or this asus one I picked?

But nah, I shall be sticking to the 5850. Also, I went back to the 965, couple of friends advised me since my main priority is gaming ill be at an advantage with it with higher clock speed since games only use 2-3 cores atm.

This is slightly more money but graphics card and ram will gibe better performance.

It takes all of 5seconds to turn a 955 into a 965, they have unlocked multipliers, so all you have to do, is enter the bios and add +1 to this setting.

thats all really all the difference between them is.

Isn't the 955/965 better for gaming? Games don't really go up to 6 cores and the clock's higher. I guess I'll go for that ram then, everyone keeps recommending me that over the corsair dominator.
