Help me please!

Try a repair install from the CD. It should sort out the MBR (master boot record).

Ideally, you want to unplug all your drive except the one with Windows on, or it might install the MBR on another drive gain. I assume that's on your SSD.

I had the same problem installing on SSD, and having the MBR installed on a hard drive. That little trick did the job.

- turn off the PSU first.
- unplug the mains.
- wait for the lights on the motherboard to go out (meaning all power drained from the PSU).
- unplug the hard drives, leave SSD plugged in.
- plug the power supply back.
- set CD as first boot device in the bios.
- Boot from CD, run a repair.
- let it do its thing, repairing the MBR and starting windows (I think).
- shutdown windows.
- switch off PSU and unplug it again.
- plug the hard drives back in.
- set the SSD as first boot device in the bios.
- reboot. :)

Possibly, but what if the image is of a corrupt install.

What version of windows have you got?

If you have W7 already, personally i would do a fresh install.

Remove all other HDDs, so you have only your SSD and DVD drive.

Boot from your windows disc and select repair.

There should be an option for command prompt, select this and in the black window type

diskpart (click enter after all sections)

list disc

select disc # (# being the number of your ssd)

Then type, clean all

Leave it to do its thing (it could take a while and look like nothing is happening) and after it has finished type exit and exit again.

This should in effect set it back to factory condition.

Then install windows again.

EDIT

If you don't have W7, get it. Your PC deserves it. ;)
