Ok I like gaming but also appreciate a great picture quality and I have about £600 to spend. Would like a 27" or greater in size to give my 980ti a run for its money. Cheers monitor Gurus

I had the same setup as you, and went down the philips 40" route. Looks great compared to the 2711 playing at 4k 60fps(sometimes), but cant help wonder what 100hz at 1440p is like...

Ok cheers but I have religated the Dell and am using a Panasonic 40" UHD. Probably being greedy but wanted to know if a faster screen ect would be better.

I went from a 2711 to a Asus PG278Q and whilst the colours are definitely not as good as it's a TN screen the 144hz and G-Sync more than make up for it to my eyes.

I've had a quick go on a swift and I did like the responsiveness if they made an ips screen that was quick and wasn't £700 I would be all over it. I would settle for something that was marginally faster than my 2711 but had great colours. OLED please hurry up.

I'm expecting OLED to be horrendously priced for a good while, maybe hang fire until the PG279Q drops a bit ?

You are right and I'm just being impatient it is not as if I don't have any options. Did think of the Acer but after all the QC issues I would never take the chance with that type of money. The IPS Swift seems perfect but its far far far too overpriced for me and feel my budget is excessive.

Also how much better are TN panels compared to IPS form about five years ago. What I'm getting at is, the tech in a TN now going to give me the colour of my old tech ips monitor?
