OK so I know I'm way behind the times having just got this game, wasn't going to bother with it but at £11 brand new I couldn't resist.

Right so I'm on my first play through and I've messed up the "Help Brad" mission (Case 1 part 2)

Is it worth playing through the 72 hours anyway to level up or should I just restart now?

I would say keep playing and level up.

Keep playing through the game, even though you won't get any future case files. You can still stick around for the 72hrs, catch the chopper and then restart the entire game with your current character's level :) Makes things easier the second time round as I messed up that mission too when the game first came out.

Keep playing as long as you can so you've more of an idea of what will happen when you restart. If this is your first play through you'll come to a point that's too tough soon enough so try and level up some more. I restarted quite a few times before I could try to save everyone / finish the game

Keep playing and use the time to get some of the achievements that are otherwise a pain.

Like the Zombie Genocide one, killing something like 64,000 zombies :D

If your having trouble with aiming guns etc I suggest a lok through the options menu. When you pull the trigger to aim you can choose either:

Crosshair view

or

Franks View

Due to the way in which I played the game anyway I found the crosshair view much easier for aiming - speeded up making things very dead anyway :)

Definately keep playing through, just to pick up some survivors and get up to a level that isn't rubbish.
I recently completed it and was fairly raging, despite me being on the helipad, and I tried another 5 times from a re-load, it would only give me ending C. Despite having done all the cases and being very much alive and on the roof.

In the rage I just went with it's annoying ways and started a new 72hrs mode.

Also, remember to do things like use all the stoves, beat up all the punchbags and run on all the treadmills for the extra exp.
Kick that crazy toy robots head the right way aswell and spin the racks in entrance plazas sports shop also. :)

Did you go and speak to Isabella in Carlito's hideout after the Army guys had arrived? I made this mistake the first time.

If you google there are explanations of how to get each ending and how to unlock Overtime mode.

Its a great game although sometimes frustrating.

Ive just started again after getting stuck on the Bomb run at level 21, I just found it impossible to do, its so nice having this amount of HP and speed at the start, should be around level 30 at least come the bomb run now.

Well so much for saving me time, I only managed another 10 minutes or so then got munched :p

On the plus side on the restart I managed to clear case 1 :) Currently level 7 and loving it so far :D

I dread when I walk into an area and a cutscene starts becuase I pretty much knew I was gonna get owned, maybe not now Ive restarted but before I had no chance against most pyschos.

Apart from the kiddy with the molotovs.

Anyone got a tactic for Cletus? I want guns, lots of guns.

cletus is a real bitch, i just stocked up on OJ, then every time he ran for a bottle of moonshine i jumped in with some mini chainsaws and hit him once or twice. The then throws you out and shoots you 2 or 3 times till you get outside and OJ yourself up again :(

I found Cletus the easiest of the bosses Ive faced so far.

Kill all the zombies outside of his shop first then walk in and trigger the cut scene.
As soon as you can , run back outside and make sure both of the doors are open.
Stand behind the left hand side door frame , giving yourself minimum exposure to him and just enough so you can cover about half of his move pattern.
Stay where you are and blast away , very rare he will hit you with a shot from there but keep looking around for zombies coming back to the area , if you see em , kill em then resume position.
Dead easy , I smoked him with a nail gun
