Hello
My main PC has Windows 7. I want to share my drive with a network media player that I have. Whenever I choose my PC it asks for a username and password, but there isnt one. I even created a user but that didnt work either.
The wifes Win7 laptop can view my drive without any passwords, I can also view my drive from my Xbox with XBMC. Just to show it wasnt a problem with my media player, I rebooted into WinXP, enabled filesharing and 30secs later I could access the drive (didnt ask for a username pass etc)
In advance network I have
Network discovery on
File/printer sharing on
40-56bit encryption
password protection off
All settings seem to be right, but clearly something within windows is stopping my media player from working.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
