Hi All

I would like help to spec an upgrade to my pc, I am looking to upgrade on the least budget to get the best bits required to play the lastest games.

Current specs are as follows

Biostar P43-A7 M/Board for Intel Core2Duo or Core2Quad with 1600MHz FSB and DDR2-1066 memory support.
Intel E5200 cpu
Freezer 7 Pro cpu cooler
ATi HD4850 graphics card
Thermaltake TR2 RX 550W psu

I am running Black Ops multiplayer with some things turned down and it is a bit laggey, but it still will not play single player to any sort of decent level. Oh, I have the E5200 clocked to 3.2

So I know that I will need a new cpu, but what would you guys do in a case like this. I could spend £150 on top of what i might make on any parts I sell. There you have it, look forwar to your ideas.

Thanks

ok, so a Q6600 is actually what I was thinking for this pc and mean once i sell my E5200 it will not be a big cost

i have a 2nd pc, any advice on how I could best get it to run the latest games, or is it a total rebuild.

m/board is Biostar G31 for dual core / quad core with 1600MHz FSB and 2GB DDR2-800 memory
Intel E5200 cpu
Geforce 7600GT graphics
non-branded psu 450 watts switching power :-(

reckon i would need a new power supply as well as graphics and cpu upgrade at the very least, would it be worth it to keep it running for another few years, or better to wait and save and start from scratch ( although it would be maybe 6 months to a yer saving to start all over again )
