Hi all

Was wondering if I could get your opinions on this build. Any suggestions for better parts around the same price range would be good. Or if I have selected something particularly terrible or incompatible let me know!

Krypton Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle
-With the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Board.
(what sort of cooling options would be best for this I was thinking the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 but they seem to have taken it off this bundle…)

Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5870 PCS++ 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Is this the best 5870 around? For a reasonable price… Also is there still room to overclock it or is it set at its max.

Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-850HXUK)
Will this be a good enough supply to run this system and 2 x 5870 in the future on the same system?

Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1)
Don’t really know much about SSD drives but this one seems to be reasonable. It will be to boot Windows 7 64 Bit Professional.

Fractal Design Define R2 Midi Tower Case - Titanium Grey
Hope everything will fit into this case? If anyone has a similar setup please let me know…

Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD1002FAEX)
Seems a good and fast storage device…

Samsung SH-B083L/RSBP 8x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Drive - Black (Retail)
Would like to have a blue ray reader no need for a writer though at the moment.

Scythe Kaze Master Ace 5.25inch Fan Controller – Black
I have seen someone else has this in the fractal case and it seems to work.

2 x Fractal Design 140mm Silent Cooling Fan
1 x Fractal Design 120mm Silent Cooling Fan

Are these any good?

BenQ G2222HDL 21.5" Widescreen LED Monitor
Also looking at getting two of these monitors to use next to each other. If anyone has a similar setup pics would be appreciated or just general performance on there performance?

I have just seen this new 5870

Asus ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (Rev. 2) [90-C1CNW0-L0UAY0BZ]

Would it be worth saving a bit of money and getting this. As i would probably get the same performance out of it... Dunno what the new cooler is like though!

cheaper and a longer warranty= win

I'd opt for some different fans, Sharkoons are run just as quiet as Fractals and have much better cooling temperatures.

Looks good to me. Good call on getting an SSD to boot the OS from, personally I'd go for OCZ as the brand though. Even though the PSU seems a little overkill for now, it's more than enough for any Crossfire with dual 5870s you want to do in the future.

600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode

I will probably stick with power supply so as if i need it in the future in another build. May change down to a 750w though. Ashlaqueen thanks for the link was useful to have clarification.
