Help me start folding please :)

Hey guys,

Decided i may as well do something with my pc since it sits idle most of the time..

I have the gpu client up and working fine on my gtx280.

I tried to run the 5.91 beta SMP client so i could upgrade to 6.22, but when i try to run it it says

'mpiexec' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

Help please?

did you run the install.bat first??

install.bat? :confused:

All i got was fah-SMP-591.exe which I assumed would work the same way as the GPU client, no install.bat..

there is a file you need to run firstly before the main exe file - not at my pc just now so can't say - it used to be install.bat or something like that.

Someone else will be along in a minute to clarify

Yup, run the installer then open a command prompt as Administrator.

Browse to the folder with the SMP files in and run install.bat, when you get to the end you should get two firewall popups and two mpi notifications.

The run the main exe with the -configonly option and set all your options.

When running the client, make sure you run with the -smp option to get the SMP WU's.

What you've done is download the .exe that replaces the expired beta one rather than the whole package. The only complete package available now is 6.22.
