Help me to buy a cpu pls

I have a pentium 4 3.0 ghz lga 775
I don't have too much spare for a cpu do i go for a good pentium 4 945dual core @ 3.4 ghz
or do i try for the new intel core duo e6600 system spec will stay as in sig apart from cpu, I need real help lol

Noob question coming up here, how do I check what speed memory is running at and how do I change it, sorry

Should I change to another m/b that does 1066 fsb and uses the 800 mem?
