Evening all. I need an SSD as part of my Xmas build. Was going to purchase last night (did get a few other components) but decided I'd be better off getting advice first.
Out of the following, which would you pick:
YOUR BASKET
1 x OCZ Vector 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive VTR1-25SAT3-256G £204.98
1 x OCZ Vertex 4 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (VTX4-25SAT3-256G) £199.99
1 x Samsung 256GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7PD256BW) £199.99
Total : £614.57 (includes shipping : £8.00).

They are (obviously excluding the OCZ Vector) same price range and I feel that 256GB is the right size.
I've seen a number of posts where people have upgraded or not been so sure once a 128GB drive was purchased.
Would you agree 256GB is enough? I am pretty Green (but not WD
) when it comes to SSD's as I've been using a mechanical drive now for the last 6 years and my rig has gone unchanged.
It will be my first experience of an SSD. Just want to be sure in my decision and be happy with it.
I intend to have this new build for quite a few years.
I will finish by saying I hear a lot of positive talk about the Samsung. Is it the general feeling on here that this is the one to go for?
Thanks
