Help me tune my knew rig

Right iv just set up my knew system and need some advise on how to get it running at optimum levels, not really looking for a big overclock just what ever will run without problems and risks with stock cooling ect.
My rig is :

An8-SLI-Premium

amd64 3500+

Point of view 6800gs

1g of value select ram.

thermaltake soprano case.

Im knew to overclocking so dont really understand all the seetings ect. should i just use ***? Either way the advise will have to be clear in knewbi terms lol

I have read that,but dont fully understand some of it, I thought some of you experts would know what to set my cpu and graphics card without going through all the trial and error testing?

No one can be sure what your CPU and graphics card will get as they will all get different overclocks.

its all trial and error unfortunately, start simple by increasing just 1 thing at a time, break the guide into sections
