Hi again

I'm now happy with my 24/7 cpu oc at 4.75ghz so it's time to tune my memory, only I'm not too sure on where to start.

Memory is currently at 2400mhz 11-13-11-30-1t trfc of 114.

I have an absolute wealth of memory timing options of which I'll post some screens of this evening. Also have quite a few voltage options on the memory too.

Thanks 8 pack I shall grab everything memory related from my bios tonight, iirc the expert setting reveals over 20 timing options which are all at auto with the exception of trfc which is manually set to 114.

Apologies, I will get those screens of my memory options probably tomorrow night, been far too busy clocking my GPU :D

Speaking of which (and to save starting another thread) 8 Pack, any tips for getting a little more voltage from my GPU? Limited to 1.362v, a nudge to 1.4v should see me break 1350mhz.

It's an msi lightning. Colder is unfortunately out of the question just now, I don't have the time nor finances to be playing with phase/cascade/ln2/chillers.

Higher bus/BLK sounds interesting though, would that allow me higher clocks or just for the card to run faster?

If I'm taking the memory beyond its rated 2400mhz I'd better get some pics up of timings and voltage options.

Sounds good, if I can get away from work on time tonight I'll have a play at 106x1.25 and set the memory back to its stock timings of 11-13-13 for 2444mhz.

Last night I set my gpu memory to 2000mhz @ 1.7v, I was getting slow downs while benching, what would this indicate to you?

Ahh I thought it might be throttling it's self, seems fine around 1970.

You have an absolute wealth of knowledge, thanks for the help so far:)

Investigating ways to reduce the ambient temps in my case now too.

All just for benching, getting a taste for it :)

I'll start the memory at 1800 and work up until scores start to drop off.

Side of the case is always off atm as I screwed up forgot to plug my fan controller so have a molex on the outside of the mid plate :p

I'll keep the window open too but my Mrs is obsessed with having the heating on, I was looking at some small 12v air con units to run at the side of the case.

System refused to boot with a 105 bclk, memory divider set to 16 for 2100mhz, 36x cpu multiplier for ~4.72ghz, voltage at 1.48v.

Some bios screens of my memory options:

I nave not forgot about this but not sure I can do it like this in a forum as I need to go through settings and make adjustments continually. We maybe need to go MSN on this one. We are aiming for 7-11-7-28 or 25 1T but its not that as simple as that sadly.

I see, I'm not on MSN (can easily create an account) but am on steam/origin = pgi947.

Almost forgot about this! I'll be setting up an MSN account shortly (infact I think I can use my aol account on it).

Did you have any joy getting hold of AB extreme 8 Pack?

Ok give me 30-45mins until I get moved over to my rig :D

Lucky sod getting that, been googling like crazy the last 48 hours trying to find an alternate method of removing the 1.35v soft-lock on my Lightning :(

Mines locked at 1.80v now!!

Rub it in why don't you!! All I want is 1.4v!! From what I understand its hardlocked at 1.8v, Soft limited at 1.35v.

Edit: Sling me over your msn address, should be up and running shortly.

Haha I know, its for the good of the consumer, they could make it a little easier to by-pass though, even if it was something like a fully unlocked bios switch that had a warranty void if removed sticker or something :p

Added now, found an msn account I created about 16 years ago :p
