help me perform a bios flash

i have an a-bit AW9D-MAX motherboard and i need to do a BIOS flash/update so i can start using my Q6600(B3 stepping) however i can't make sense of the instructions on the a-bit site

to flash the bios they say to make a bootable floppy am i right in assumming that means to format the floppy in MS-DOS mode however this leaves the floppy without enough room for the bios file when extracted (which i assume i should have done before copying the files to the disk). my guess is that the floppy does not need to be in MS-DOS mode however i am unsure if it would destroy my motherboard or not.

please help by giving me very clear instructions or an alternative method of flashing my bios.

p.s i don't have an alternative motherboard to use if this board dies so great care and advise is wanted

just use flash menu thats in side the uguru software which is basically a windows flash utility no floppys or any thing else needed just the bios file, load bios ,flash bios and reboot bobs ** uncle :)
Hasnt failed for me after 18 flashes so is very reliable.

goodluck

thanks for telling me about the flash menu dougsnake. it was very easy to use and now i'm one happy user of a Q6600 @ stock :D .

i might overclock it later but i dont need the extra speed yet nor do i want the extra heat
