motherboard foxconn a7vmx-k
4gb ddr2 mem
750 gb sata harddrive 32mb cache weston digital caviar
graphics ati radion hd 5750 1gb
monitor is about only decent thing and that is a samsung p2270 22inch monitor so graphic card to suit would be good ( if it makes any difference ofcause)

i guess i would like to stick with amd as i will be upgrading bit by bit so spec me new motherboard,cpu, graphics card, and memory if i need it cheers:D

thanks how future proof is the 1st option i dont mind spending the dosh if its going to last a while, i see there is an amd x6 out is that any good or just over rated thanks again
 
If the main use is gaming then a more powerful graphics card would be the best bet for now. If you want to upgrade everything else i would wait until Q2 next year and see what AMD's new Bulldozer cores bring. They will need a new socket, AM3+ and are not backwards compatible with the current AM2+ or AM3 sockets.
 
i use my laptop for the boring stuff and this one for both gaming and boring stuff but i would like it to be high spec as poos so i dont have to keep upgrading
