i know this is the 3rd thread i have made without actually going for it because of the small boost i would get from a new CPU but now i am hoping to do it.

i have SSDs and a HDD plus i also have a gtx 970.

i will be buying a phanteks evolv itx case and i am hoping to go full loop with it. i dont need the absolute best/most expensive parts.

i have been looking around and i cannot for the life of me find any build that has put a radiator in the front of the case. i do want a front rad because the top can only support 240mm and that wont be enough for cpu and gpu. the specs say the case supports 240mm in both top and front but i havent seen anyone use the front.

so essentials will be;
- D5 of some sort as thats what everyone suggests.
- cpu block (something that i will be able to see the liquid move inside of).
- gpu block (same as cpu). a universal one will do as i hope to get a new gpu next year.
- not so essential but i like the EVGA PSUs.
- no hardline tubing as this be my first watercooling attempt.

absolute max £900 budget.

EDIT - I want Z170.

i have seen them crossover/multiport radiators, they look clean and smart. would make a tidy looking first attempt at watercooling easier.

From what I can see it doesn't look like you can get that sort of mid-plate PSU shroud thingymabob out of the case; with that there you won't be getting any rad & fan in the front.

You could go for a double-thick 280 in the top though, seen plenty on google images with that. might even squeeze a 120mm rad on the rear too, since the case has those handy-dandy height adjustable fan mounts that NZXT use.

i was thinking if necessary i could put just a 120mm rad in front and have the part that is restricted used for just a fan.

i am not keen on a very think rad though as i will be buying the windowed case and the rad will take up most of the inside view especially with the fans on it aswell.

EDIT - trying to search to see whether there is enough space for a 240mm rad and fans at the front is so difficult, nobody has covered that what so ever. fortunately looking closely at some videos it does look like there is space, there is a gap that looks like it has a removable bar right next to the big white fan fan and under the little cover that looks removable. normally water builds come in bits and peices from what i can make of it on here so i will be able to check proper once i have the case :)

there is a review on this website about the case where the person mentioned having two 240mm rads in it so sounds good.

IS THERE ANYWAY A MOD COULD MOVE THIS TO THE SUGGESTED (WATERCOOLING) SECTION PLEASE.
